On the ferris wheel. The kids loved it especially Abbey, she kept standing up and looking out the window during the ride.

After the kids had fun, Matt & I got to go back to the fair that night for a concert.

18 things I love about you...

On June 9th the kids turned a year and a half. I can't believe that 18 months ago these precious miracle babies were born. They are so healthy and right on track developmentally and we're so thankful of how far they've come. Being 3 months early, they still are little, but their personalities are BIG!

For their 18 month birthday I wanted to make a list of 18 things we love about Hudson, Wyatt and Abbey:

1. They love to dance, each one in their own style: Huddy rocks from side to side, Abbey spins around in a circle and Wyatt bounces his head back and forth and claps.

2. They talk to each other in their own language and seem to understand what the other one is saying too.

3. Their smiles are contagious: Abbey's eyes squint when she smiles, Wyatt smiles and his eyes light up and Huddy's dimples and all his teeth show when he smiles.

4. They each have their own self-comfort items to sleep: Abbey has to have her pacifier and blankie, Huddy has his blankie and Wyatt has his big blanket and sucks his thumb.

5. Whenever the Backyardigans theme song comes on the kids stop what they are doing and dance and laugh.

6. They love to show you their belly buttons and look for yours too.

7. When you ask them to give you love they put their head on you and hug you. Even the dogs get love.

8. They like to give and get kisses and blow kisses at you too.

9. Every day they are saying new words, today it's dog, cat, car, mom, dada, mama, baba, nana, hi, bye.

10. They LOVE all their grandparents: everytime they see any of them their eyes light up.

11. They love getting out books and coming to sit in your lap so you can read it to them.

12. Each one has their own unique laugh and when one starts they all start laughing.

13. Now we pretend that something is stinky and they plug their noses and make funky faces.

14. Each of the kids has a hair style that only a mother could love :) Ok and everyone else, but it's pretty crazy. I have no idea how to style any of their hair.

15. I love how they interact and play with each other. You could observe them forever and not get bored. Crazy yes, bored no.

16. The only place I can shop alone with the trio is Costco because of the big carts, and they love the free samples and pointing at things around the store.

17. They love playing outside in their cars and slide and writing with chalk. They even bring me their shoes and socks when we've been inside too long and they are ready to go out.

18. And most of all we love them because they are our beautiful babies and we are so blessed to be a family.

Messy eating, play time and swim lessons

So, me being the smart mom decided to serve spaghetti with lots of sauce for dinner. And let the kids feed themselves too. It was too funny to pass up a photo op. Surprisingly Huddy didn't get as messy but he didn't know what to do with his dirty hands...

Some cute pictures of the kids that I had to add.

Last weekend we took the kids to Kingsburg for their uncle Bill's 40th birthday and these pictures were of on our way up there.

....and the sleeping beauty

Our new thing is to smell our feet and make stinky noises, so Hudson the comedian showed us how it was done.

We signed the kids up for swimming lessons doing parent and me this year. We have a pool and wanted the kids to get really comfortable around water. It's only 5 sessions about 25 minutes each, but it's just long enough for the kids. We had no screamers, so that was a bonus! They like the water and we are learning to blow bubbles, float on our back and kick.
It's definately a process getting the kids ready and then changing them afterwards. It usually takes 4 people. 3 to help with the class and the extra person to help dry off.

May

April and May was filled with lots of big birthdays, babies and weddings. Fun and amazing times and what a blessing to get to share them all with our family and friends.
We have been blessed to have such a strong group of friends that have known each other from high school. It's so rare to still know friends that long.
And we thank you all for your love and support with our family and kids. Raising triplets is definately not an easy job and sometimes I pull my hair out :)
But I always know that I can call one of you friends or family and you'll be there for me to offer some help. So if I don't always say it, thank you!
Thank you to all who show such love and graciousness to our family.

Ok so back to the lovely trio...
We have a blow up water thing that the kids like to play in on hot days.

Matt loves to go on adventures, they don't always end up successfully but we do find new things to do. So one day we found a new park that the kids enjoyed. Good job babe :)

I celebrated my 2nd Mother's Day in May. We went to brunch that morning with my dad and stepmom too and then in the afternoon after naps we went back to the grassy area at the Montage. What a beautiful day and I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I was very spoiled by my kids and hubby with flowers, cards and presnts. I am so thankful for my miracle babies and a wonderful, supporting husband who has been a total hands on dad from day 1.

The kids have their own chairs and couch that they love getting on themselves. They are becoming so independent that it blows me away. It seems like just yesterday we had to carry them everywhere, now they want to walk on their own.
They point at everything to tell me what they want and they understand when I tell them to get something. They are starting to feed themselves too. Now that has been a messy process. But they have fun and really like it.

The three also have fun playing in our backyard too. We have a pool, so we never had them play out there but this month we had a fence put in around it, so it's a whole new play area for the trips. They push each other in the cars and ride around and play with chalk and bubbles.

April

April was a wonderful and super busy month.
We celebrated our 7 year anniversary on the 6th and we decided to take a much needed vacation to Hawaii sans children.
I was worried leaving them for a week, but we knew they would be well taking care of. All 6 grandparents did shifts and helped out. It was such a blessing to have them all help out.

Matt and I had a wonderful time, it was so nice to relax and not do anything. Towards the end of the week though we were missing the kids alot and ready to come home.

When we got back from Hawaii, we celebrated my 30th birthday. Matt surprised me by renting a huge bus limo that we took to Temecula for wine tasting with our friends.

The next day was Easter and we got to spend it the whole family at a clubhouse in Laguna Woods.

Another family picture, never an easy thing to do :)

One weekend we took the kids down to the grassy area in front of the Montage resort in Laguna Beach. We haven't braved going to the actual beach with the kids yet, I just know it'll be quite an ordeal :) The kids love being outside though. They love to all run now and chase each other too.

No more pictures mom!

Some of the kids favorite things to do right now is play in their ball pit, "paint" outside with water and their paintbrushes, swing in their swing and play with the dogs.
